Talk about a stunner! 😮‍💨🤩 This large and uniquely shaped tourmaline seems to change color in different light. The shape is interesting it’s a flattened (blade-like) crystal with an asymmetrical termination. My guess is that this tourmaline started growing in a tight space or against another crystal, which restricted growth in one direction. Also maybe, changing fluid may have encouraged it to keep growing upward and outward unevenly? Idk… I’m not a mineralogist…🤣 but super cool to think about. These Fluor-liddicoatite’s coming out of Madagascar are my favorite type of tourmaline right now. Can you see why? 👀
